Title: Nonlinear Dynamics of Nanosystems
Authors: Radons, Gunter

Issue Date: 2010
Publisher: WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA
Abstract: Nanotechnology has rapidly developed in recent years, making it possible to en- gineer mechanical, optical and electronic devices that are the size of only a few hundred atomic diameters. The equations of motion of such nanoscopic systems are generically nonlinear and frequently operate in a regime where a linear approx- imation is not justified. The comprehension of nonlinear dynamical processes in nanosystems is a new field of research that is certainly of considerable technologi- cal importance.
